Puretone audiometry is the key hearing test used to determine an individual's hearing threshold levels. It allows us to determine the type, degree, and configuration of an individual's hearing loss. This data is a key component in hearing-loss diagnosis and management. Our electronic audiometry testing measures and records how well you can hear sounds at various frequencies and loudness levels. With this essential data, we can develop a treatment plan tailored for you.
HEARING OR AURAL REHABILITATION
After identifying and diagnosing a hearing loss, we then offer different kinds of therapies to clients that often include amplification devices designed to help you hear better. However, our treatment doesn't stop there. We also help you and your family understand your hearing loss and show you ways to improve your communication. Hearing or Aural Rehabilitation training is provided to those patients who need to further improve their hearing and understanding.
HEARING AID CONSULTATION, FITTING, & REPAIRS
During the hearing aid consultation, we will determine which hearing aid style and technology is the most appropriate for you based on specific needs and hearing loss. Once the appropriate amplification has been decided, you will have the hearing aids professionally fit for optimal performance and comfort. Our expertise also includes hearing aid maintenance and repair. We handle repairs on most hearing aid brands - including hearing aids that we did not originally fit. Video Otoscope Examination
This is an examination of the outer ear. A small camera will be placed inside your ear canal and the image is projected onto a TV screen. This particular process is used to help detect outer ear issues such as fluid accumulation, perforations (damage) of the eardrum, or excessive earwax.
In-Home Hearing Tests & Hearing Health Visits
We understand that not all of our patients can easily make it to our office. That's why we offer in-home and on-site patient care at nursing homes and other facilities.
